October is National Archives Month and the Shenandoah County Library's Truban Archives, along with archives around Virginia and the country, will be celebrating our collections and the communities we serve.

This year the Truban Archives will be hosting or participating in several Archives Month programs and commemorations.

Thursday, October 5 is the Shenandoah Valley Archives Fair, held at the Bowman Library in Stephens City from 11:00AM-1:00PM. This event features archivists from 25 sites throughout the Valley who will be available to share information about their collections and to answer research questions. A Q&A panel featuring several archivists will be held from 11-11:30AM followed by the fair from 11:30-1:00PM. For more information visit https://www.handleyregional.org/archives/archives-fair
